Why we are starting a zero carbon caravan

Climate change is so serious that a low carbon solution will not be enough. There may already be too much carbon in the atmosphere, so we need to reduce to zero as soon as possible.

The zero carbon caravan is a way of publicising the need for zero carbon emissions, and discussing ways of achieving it. We will be travelling to the climate talks in Copenhagen in 2009 without using any fossil fuels (and that includes the fossil fuels used in ferries, buses, coaches and trains which means we have to travel by walking, cycling and sailing).

We will be travelling from all over the world, and organising meetings on the way entitled 'What should we do about climate change?' where we will share our ideas. When we arrive at the talks we will publicise all the ideas we have collected and press for them to be adopted.
